Dream of Cro-Magnon: “Where’s Reina?” – Shimokitazawa Arts Edition / Tokyo

Talk Event: O JUN × Kaoru Usukubo × Reina Uchida

Talk event + autograph sessionO JUN × Kaoru Usukubo × Reina Uchida

I had the pleasure of talking with painters O JUN and Kaoru Usukubo about my work and my pencil-drawn manga, “It All Began with the Cro-Magnon.”

The character “Aurora-san” in the manga is actually inspired by Kaoru Usukubo herself.

A Cro-Magnon Girl Becomes an “Artist”

Reina Uchida’s “It All Began with the Cro-Magnon” Publication Project

With the generous support of TAKU SOMETANI GALLERY, our crowdfunding campaign received overwhelming encouragement, surpassing the initial goal.

To everyone who supported the project—thank you from the bottom of my heart!

As part of the return gifts, I created personalized portraits titled “You’re a Cro-Magnon Too☆♪!”

One of these was gifted to the sculptor Atsuhiko Misawa, who kindly exhibited the piece during his solo exhibition at the Chiba City Museum of Art.

Currently, Volume 1 of the manga is available from ART DIVER Publishing.

It’s being carried by major bookstores as well as select museum shops.

You can view the details of the crowdfunding campaign on the MOTION GALLERY website.
